The standard Retrofit gasifier size is 1000 KW in gas output and the modular design of the unit enables installations of up to 5 megawatts by linking together several gasifiers.
THE BENEFITS OF WOOD GAS
Wood gas is a high quality fuel like natural gas which burns leaving no odour or residue. It can be produced from a variety of bio materials ranging from wood chips and pelletized sawdust to bagasse and rice husks. Wood gas can replace natural gas, propane and fuel oil where there is an abundant supply of biomass and a need for a cleaner alternative energy source. By turning solid fuel into a clean combustible gas, we gain the benefits of gaseous fuels and solve problems related to solid fuel usage.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS FOR PUHDAS TECHNOLOGY
PROCESS HEAT
Inexpensive process heat can be produced in bakeries, drying facilities, ceramic, glass, and cement industries and in the metal industry.
WASTE UTILIZATION
Sawmills and other wood processing enterprises can turn their waste product into valuable heat and electricity, while avoiding waste disposal costs. Stems of corn, rice and sunflower as well as nutshells and olive stones can be gasified for local energy needs.
COMBINED HEAT AND CO2 PRODUCTION IN GREENHOUSES
Greenhouse can benefit greatly from this technology by co-generating heat and clean CO2 gas to boost plant growth rates.
SPACE HEATING
In cold climates, a directly coupled gasifier is the only fully automatic way to utilize solid fuel in space heating. Clean combustion reduces boiler cleaning work dramatically and benefits local air quality.
